  • By exposing young boys to the stereotypes of toxic masculinity, society has maintained control of how men should behave. This includes the phrases like “man up,” “men don’t cry,” or “stop acting like a girl.”  This in return has made it a challenge to raise our boys in a new light....

  • Domestic violence is a vicious cycle which can take out anyone in its path. By breaking the cycle children can grow up to live healthy loving lives creating a new cycle, that can be passed down to future generations....

  • Domestic violence happens in Sheridan, Wyoming. In 2018, the Advocacy & Resource Center served 225 people for domestic violence specific services....

Items we’re in need of

Thanks to the generosity of this wonderful community, the Center is overflowing with clothing and cannot take anymore at this time.  

 

Below you’ll find the top items we currently need for victims who are leaving everything behind to flee violence.

 

They need all the things one would immediately get when setting up a new household, but this list covers the basics.

  • Items of Immediate Need

    • Gift cards for food, household items and gas
    • New full-sized toiletries
    • Household items such as cooking pans, cutlery, plates, glasses and bowls
    • Cleaning supplies like dish soap and laundry soap
    • Bedding- sheets, pillowcases and blankets
    • Bath Linens- towels and washcloths
    • Furniture- tables and chairs, small sofas, beds
